reorganize. energize

Happy New Year!

Thinking of a yarn detash sale. The sight of yarn that I am not going to knit any time soon, no matter how nice it is, is starting to weigh me down. I'm thinking of a massive purge and will sell the good stuff on the blog for very reduced prices. I have a bag of leftovers that I plan to give to the school. This is all part of a New Year's resolution to refocus and retrench.

Do you have any good ideas of what to do with a stash that's starting crowd your life? Any special resolutions for the new year?

One of my fav quotes is :

" Clutter is a tribute to indecision " .

I wish you lots of decisive focus by purging that which you do not need or want. Happy New Year too !

That is an awesome quote! I'm contemplating hanging that up somewhere my husband can see it.

Happy New Year! Like you, I'm planning to get my knitting life in order. Some of the yarn and patterns will go to a rehab center here that has a knitting group. Some of the stuff will be de-stashed on Ravelry. And I'm thinking of doing a few "Mystery Bags" that I'll show on my blog for either sale or giveaway, I haven't decided (it might be easier to do once I actually organize them ...).

Good luck!

I'm going to do a big destash of fiber as I can't see myself doing a lot of spinning in CA. Plus I'm tired of moving stuff rather than using it. It's good to let go of the things that weigh us down instead of inspire us.

Having a good yarn de-stash is a healthy way to start the new year! As you know I declared my goals over on my blog the other day. Even though most of the are health/running related, I did made a few in regards to my hobbies. Working through my knitting UFO's this year is a high priority. Once that is done, I plan on being more choosy with what projects I knit for myself in the future with my own stash of yarn. I was good last year in not purchasing much yarn and want to carry that into this year.

you are one gutsy lady. True confessions: i intended to destash once by putting some yarn for sale on raveley. As soon as someone wanted to buy it the yarn transformed into a thing of beauty and I couldn't part with it
